Everipedia, a wiki-based publicly editable, free content encyclopedia, has raised $30 million in its Series A funding round. Galaxy Digital’s EOS.IO Ecosystem Fund led this round. The company plans to use the fresh funds to finance its expansion and other development efforts.

Founded in 2014 and based in Los Angeles, California, Everipedia is a wiki-based online encyclopedia that leverages distributed ledger technology to build an encyclopedia used for reading, creating, and editing collaborative articles online. Everipedia was founded by Sam Kazemian and Theodor Forselius at UCLA in December 2014 as a side project out of Kazemian’s dorm room. Everipedia has been described as a blockchain rival to the widely used Wikipedia.

Studeal, a French student association management software startup, has raised € 1.5m in its latest funding. The company’s investors include Macif Innovation, Bpifrance, Caisse d’Epargne and some angel investors. Studeal plans to use the fresh capital to expand its market reach and grow its business in France. Founded in 2013 and based in Nice, France, Studeal provides student associations with a SaaS-based platform featuring cash, membership, partnership, event or communication management. Additionally, Studeal also allows associations to earn a fee by offering deals via partnerships with companies such as  Uber and more.

Syndesi Therapeutics, a Belgian-based biotech company that develops a series of novel, procognitive SV2A modulators, has raised €17M in its latest Series A funding round. Novo Seeds and Fountain Healthcare led this latest funding round, with some participation from  Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JJDC, Inc. (JJDC), V-BIO Ventures, VIVES Louvain Technology Fund, and the Walloon Investment Fund (SRIW). The company plans to use the fresh capital to fuel the clinical development of the lead compound up to early proof-of-concept in humans, according to the newly published press release.

Based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Vlaams-Brabant, Belgium, Syndesi Therapeutics is developing molecules that uniquely modulate the synaptic vesicle protein in SV2A to improve cognition in Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive impairments associated with schizophrenia. The company has an exclusive, worldwide license from UCB, a market leader in SV2A research.

BurnAlong, a US-based provider of a streaming fitness class platform, has secured $1 million in its latest funding round. BurnAlong’s investors include Baltimore Angels, Brown Advisory, Machem Capital and Johns Hopkins University. The company plans to use the newly raised funds to expand operations and market reach.

Based in Baltimore, Maryland, BurnAlong provides a fitness class platform that allows people to work out online with top gym instructors across the country. BurnAlong has also made some partnership with hundreds of studios, wellness professionals, and local gyms. The company’s platform is currently available on iOS and Android mobile platform. The company offers three options: the monthly, the annual subscription and the corporate subscriptions.

AnotherBrain, a France-based artificial intelligence startup, has raised €10 million in its latest funding. The startup’s investors include Alpha Intelligence Capital, Cathay Capital, Aglae Venture, Daphni, and Global Founders Capital. The company plans to use the new funds to continue the platform development.

Founded in 2017 and based in Paris, France, AnotherBrain has designed an embedded artificial intelligence solution in the form of chips, which promises immense applications. The solution, which directly inspired by the elementary functioning of the cerebral cortex, promises to offer AI able to learn without human supervision, works in real time, with minimal energy and data consumption. Potential applications include IoT, robotics, drone, security, biometry, defense, and personalized medicine.

Hxperience, a France-based provider of an IoT and analytics optimization platform, has raised €1.4 million in its latest funding round. Axeleo Capital led this latest funding round, with some participation from some angel investors. The fresh capital will be used to expand its sales and data science teams, and also to continue to develop the platform.

Founded in 2015 and based in Paris, France, Hxperience provides an IoT and analytics optimization platform that collects, processes, and secures the relevant of data and trigger actions to improve the operational efficiency of commercial and industrial buildings. The company, which was founded by former Nokia executives, offers a complete solution from the consulting phase to the integration of the solution into the environment and its operations. The company has 15 employees.

We Got POP, a UK-based filmtech startup, just announced its latest funding round. The company has raised £2 million in its funding round. Octopus Ventures led this latest round, with some participation from AllBright, Henrik Kraft, and Andy Phillipps. The company plans to use the fresh capital to continue the platform development and expand its business in the USA.

Founded in 2013 and based in London, England, We Got POP is a web-based platform for people engaged in the film, TV and commercial productions. The company provides a platform that allows the optimal workflow between production crew, background artists, and casting agents. We Got POP’s technology aims to make the entire production process more efficient and secure in terms of booking and management.
